Born August 15, 1974 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan (legal domicile: Komono-cho, Mie Prefecture). Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics, and entered the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Worked as a staff member of the Prime Minister's Office during the first Abe Cabinet. In 2009, he ran for the 45th election for the House of Representatives, but was unsuccessful. In 2011, he was elected Governor of Mie Prefecture at the age of 36, the youngest in Japan at the time, and in his second term, he invited the Ise-Shima Summit to Mie. He served as Parliamentary Secretary of the Cabinet Office in the second Kishida Cabinet (startups, new capitalism, economic revitalization, new corona countermeasures, all-generation social security reform, Financial Services Agency, etc.). Currently holds a number of positions, including Vice Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Subcommittee and Vice Dean of the Central Graduate School of Political Science.
