Born in 1982. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kyoto University in 2006. Joined Mitsubishi UFJ Bank. Transferred to New York as an analyst in 2014. In 2020, he ran for mayor of Aki-Takata City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and was elected by a large margin. He served as mayor from August 2020 to May 2024. His straightforward political approach, without any favoritism or behind-the-scenes maneuvering, has earned him the support of many citizens and has become a hot topic of conversation.
