Mr. Akihiro Nakao is an Executive Officer and the Head of Digital Securitization Department at Kenedix, Inc. (KDX). He joined the company in 2007 working in the Corporate Planning Department focusing on corporate planning and fundraising activities. From 2011, he participated in the launch of a residential REIT, as its CFO. In 2015, he established a local entity in Singapore, spearheading business expansion in Asia. Starting in January 2020, as the head of the Digital Securitization Department, he has been a leading figure in the real estate security token business, notably issuing Japan's first real estate security token offering in August 2021, and has been involved in numerous real estate security token offerings. Before joining KDX, he was engaged in investment banking at SMBC Nikko Securities Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Japan Inc., with extensive experience in large-scale capital fundraising and M&A advisory services.
