Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics in 2002, and joined the Bank of Japan. 2020-2024: Head of the FinTech Group, Settlement Systems Division, Settlement Mechanism Bureau. 2024-present: current position. He is a specially-appointed researcher at CARF, Graduate School of Economics, The University of Tokyo.
